A brief word about the appearance of this site: The lack of graphics is deliberate, in order to ensure that all viewers (including those running older programs on low-memory machines with slow connections) can easily load and navigate the site; it also facilitates printing by both color and black and white printers. Further, this streamlined format enables me to make changes quickly, with minimal reformatting. While I may develop sections with richer environments at some future date, for now this approach is proving more efficient and more inclusive.
